For the assignment of following a breaking news story I chose a USA Today story about the assault of the U.S. Embassy in Yemen.
First Check 9:30 am:
The story is listed big on the left side of the homepage under the heading Top News.
My main critique of the story is the time the attack occurred is listed in the sixth paragraph. I feel that this detail should have been within the first few paragraphs because it gives readers pertinent information as to whether people would have been in and around the building.
Second Check 12:00 pm:
No updates to the story, still listed under the heading Top News.
