OBAMA WINS!!!

BARACK OBAMA HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

The American people have spoken and history has been made, the first African-American president will take over the White House on January, 20 2009. Media outlets have been buzzing and naturally the online world of journalism is definitely interesting to inspect.

Many of the online news websites have what would be referred to as the "oh shit" layout. Big and prominent on the homepages of Yahoo!, The Miami Herald, The New York Times, and The Tampa Tribune is the declaration of the winner of this election. The layouts are wonderful and appropriate for this type of event. This election has brought a huge turnout in polls, a huge win in the electoral college and a time for change for the United States of America. Even website like MTV news. com have made sure to notify people that Barack Obama has won. It's amazing how immediate online journalism website can inform people of the news and that they are able to compile stories, images, and prominent layouts.

First words spoken by the President Elect, "Hello, Chicago!"

Yes, it was cool to look at all the homepages... but now your links go to the current homepage. You can do a 'screenshot' next time... just use your Print Screen button and paste it into Word or Photoshop or even Powerpoint. Then save that file to have the image of what it looked like that night. You can even "Save WebPage As..." though it might not look quite as good.
